INITIAL STEPS IN BUILDING A GREEN UNIVERSITY MODEL

Green University Model Inspiration Ambassador

Let's Green Unitour is a project carried out by UEH students to raise awareness and change environmental behavior for Vietnamese students by creating an experience space for products of the Green University Ecosystem implemented at UEH, thereby, inspiring and replicating the UEH Green University Model to other universities, creating a sustainable ecosystem connecting the school with businesses in the circular economy community. Its ultimate goal is to create a Green University network in Vietnam.

Supported in implementing Let's Green UniTour as a launching event, inspiring the comprehensive green university model for staff and students of the unit.

Join Let's Green UniTour is a way to implement CSR strategies, and upgrade management systems with ESG criteria (Environment - Social - Governance).

Showcase of Recycling Waste Circular Model for Schools & How to Organize Green Volunteers to Promote Waste Classification:

Exhibition, introduction and handover of Go Green Station models include waste classification model 3 and 7 and green university regulations for facilities and campuses in the chain. Campuses will access waste classification rules in model 3 and 7, along with the waste recycling cycle.
Share how to establish and operate a Green Volunteer team to support lecturers and learners in waste classification.
Introduce artificial intelligence technology products to support waste classification.

ZONE 3

Experience sustainable products from businesses:

Showcase products made from recycled materials by green businesses to serve students' needs to learn about sustainable lifestyles.
A workshop series that allows students to experience and make recycled products themselves.

ZONE 4

Exchange trash for gifts:

Students bring trash and participate in the trash classification challenge to receive gifts where they are introduced to AI tools that support trash classification.
Students experience the processing system to turn waste into recycled materials/products of green businesses.

Steps to participate in the Let's Green UniTour Project & replicate the UEH Green University model

STEP 1:

Meet with the university Board of Management to be introduced to the Let's Green UniTour project and seek approval to do a pilot tour

STEP 2:

Survey the facilities, characteristics and resources of the beneficiary unit to propose items and activities suitable to the conditions of the beneficiary unit and build into a general proposal.

STEP 3:

The project author team and the beneficiary discuss and agree on specific items and priority orders to be implemented in the project.

STEP 4:

Build a human resource base to participate in project operations at the beneficiary unit

STEP 5:

Introduce business partners in UEH's sustainable ecosystem. Beneficiaries proactively negotiate with partners in the ecosystem and contact other partners to expand the scale of the chain of activities.

STEP 6:

The author group plans to conduct a 1-week pilot tour at the beneficiary unit.

STEP 7:

Work with universities (beneficiaries) on receiving products in the UEH Green University Ecosystem and the process of exchanging and transferring this product package will continue to be carried out by the "Sustainable University Project Board - UEH Green Campus Project".
