[GREEN MONDAY SERIES] When Pineapple Leaves Turn into Pineapple Fabric

Pineapple leaves are not just a spice for sour soup; currently, they have transformed into clothing! For the first time in Vietnam, Ecofa has successfully produced fibers from pineapple leaves on a large scale, reaching up to 18 tons per month!

The production process is meticulous! It involves "stripping" the pineapple fiber, fluffing it up as if preparing to wash hair with the leaves, then spinning the fibers and weaving them into fabric. The surprising part is that pineapple fabric is not only super durable but also antibacterial and provides excellent UV protection. Who wouldn’t love stylish outfits that also protect the skin?

Ecofa not only provides us with a new material to “refresh” our wardrobes but also makes use of those pineapple leaves that often go to waste after making smoothies! It’s a twofold benefit: looking good while also protecting the environment. Pineapple fabric truly is a “friendly companion” for sustainable fashion enthusiasts.

Time to go green. Are you ready to "deck yourself out" with outfits made from pandan leaves? If not, then it's definitely time to "pandanize" your wardrobe and step into a lush green future!
