As part of its strategy to develop a comprehensive learning ecosystem and enhance the student experience, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is launching the next-generation dormitory model, the UEH Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh, scheduled to begin operations in the final semester of 2026.

From the traditional dormitory to the modern, international Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh
Throughout its nearly half-century development journey, UEH dormitories have been more than just places to live; they have preserved the youthful memories of generations of resident students. From the 135 Tran Hung Dao Dormitory after 1975, to the Thanh Quan Dormitory in 1991 (now UEH Boutique), to the accommodations on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, and now the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh, this journey reflects the continuous upgrading of the living environment for learners.

Dormitory spaces are closely tied to the academic and communal life of generations of UEH students
Beyond serving as student accommodation, the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh marks a transformation into an integrated living space model – where students can study, live, engage in health and wellness activities, connect with the community, and gradually develop a sustainable lifestyle every day.
Aiming to cultivate the UEH Green Citizens community - green citizens who live responsibly towards the environment, the community, and themselves - the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh does not treat "green living" merely as a media message or a residency rule. Instead, it becomes an experience present in the daily activities of students.
The highlight of this model is the system of 10 Green Living Habits - developed from the 10 aspects of the UEH Green Campus project. From sorting waste correctly, using energy responsibly, choosing green mobility options, eating healthily, to building a community that respects differences - these are not just communication messages but become a system of recognition and action woven throughout the entire dormitory space.

This system is integrated directly into living areas through signage, murals, interactive spaces, and community experience activities, contributing to creating a distinctive "green living language" characteristic of the green UEHers community at the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh.

Each room ranges from approximately 28-46m² and is equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, private bathrooms, water heaters, and essential facilities for daily living and studying.
In addition to living spaces, the building integrates numerous amenities, including:
- Common living areas;
- Study and group workspaces;
- Gym and wellness areas;
- Canteen, food court, and convenience store;
- Automated laundry system;
- Recreation and community connection spaces;
- Student life support facilities.
The architecture of the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh is designed with an open layout, incorporating abundant green spaces and optimized for community connection. Common spaces are arranged to encourage interaction, sharing, and the formation of a positive living culture among resident students.
Furthermore, the building promotes green transportation solutions, including connections to the UEH Shuttle Bus, an internal bicycle system, and other environmentally friendly modes of transport.
Through physical and mental wellness activities, skills development programs, community events, and green living experiences, the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh aims to build an environment where students can develop comprehensively in knowledge, skills, and lifestyle.

The Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh is designed around four core pillars: Living green for the planet, Living healthy for yourself, Living responsibly for the future, Living connected for the communit
A place to shape and nurture the future community of green UEHers
The Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh is envisioned to become the "second home" for UEH students - a place where every learner not only has their living needs met but is also inspired to live more responsibly towards themselves, the community, and the environment.
In the coming period, UEH plans to organize various community activities at the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh, including the Dormitory Alumni Day, the UEH Family Day, and experience programs for students, alumni, experts, and university staff and faculty.
More than just an infrastructure project, the Green Living Hub Nguyen Van Linh is the next step in UEH's journey toward building a sustainable university environment - where every living space contributes to nurturing future citizens who live responsibly, happily, and are ready to spread positive values to the community.
