[Let’s Green Unitour Day 2025] Continuing the Green University Story with Students of Thu Dau Mot University

On the morning of December 12, 2025, Let’s Green Unitour Day was successfully held at Thu Dau Mot University, welcoming more than 121 students to an experiential space where they could spend a day as Green University students. The event not only created a healthy and engaging platform, but also provided an opportunity for the community to better understand the role of higher education institutions in sustainable development, while raising awareness and responsibility among students in practicing green lifestyles within educational environments.

With the aim of creating experiential spaces for the Green University Model and promoting initiatives that support green transformation in higher education, Let’s Green Unitour Day 2025 - Experience a Day as a Green University Student, under the Let’s Green Unitour Project and with the companionship of the For Green Future Foundation under Vingroup, brought students of Thu Dau Mot University a dynamic, joyful, and knowledge-filled festival. From learning about green practices in universities, exploring gamified educational platforms and practicing waste sorting, to experiencing interactive art spaces and visiting organic product booths from the co-organizing units, all activities contributed to a colorful, vibrant, and energetic picture of Let’s Green Unitour Day.

Representing Thu Dau Mot University at the event were: Mr. Tran Van Nam, M.A. - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the University Council; Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan Sang - Secretary of the University Youth Union and President of the University Student Association; Ms. Tran Thi Kim Nhung - Vice President of the University Student Association; Mr. Vo Quoc Thang - Vice President of the University Student Association; and Mr. Huynh The An - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Institute of Green and Sustainable Technology. Representing the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) was Mr. Nguyen Huu Tien - Deputy Secretary of the UEH Youth Union and President of the UEH Student Association.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tien - Deputy Secretary of the UEH Youth Union and President of the UEH Student Association, shared heartfelt insights into the efforts made in building and developing the UEH Green University Model, affirming that this is a strategic step contributing to global trends and enhancing the position of higher education institutions on the international academic map. On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan Sang - Secretary of the Youth Union and President of the Student Association of Thu Dau Mot University, emphasized that this event was an opportunity for the university to approach green education models and a testament to the close cooperation between the two institutions.

At this sixth destination, Let’s Green Unitour Day 2025 brought to Thu Dau Mot University an inspiring experiential tour along with gifts encouraging green lifestyles through four zones:

• Zone 1 - Exhibition of the UEH Green Campus Model: An exhibition space showcasing the UEH Green University Model and the ecosystem of UEH Green Campus products, helping students better approach green lifestyles in educational environments and understand UEH’s sustainable development orientation.
• Zone 2 - UEH Green Campus Game Experience & Green Practices: Where students were guided to practice waste classification based on the 3R Model of UEH Green Campus - Go Green Station, and experienced innovative “gamification” solutions to approach concepts of green living, environmental protection, and sustainable development in a more accessible and engaging way.
• Zone 3 - Environmental Art Exhibition: Featuring unique artistic works, this area allowed students to visit, take photos, and preserve memorable moments from Let’s Green Unitour Day. It also provided an opportunity for students to reflect on their thoughts about becoming Green University students - a new-generation student action model.
• Zone 4 - Green Booth from Thu Dau Mot University: With the participation of the Youth Union of the Institute of Green and Sustainable Technology, the booth titled “Green Imprints of TDMU” left strong impressions by showcasing research models, recycled products, and organic products developed by students of Thu Dau Mot University. The booth successfully highlighted students’ creative thinking, scientific research capacity, and passion for the environment through the field of sustainable technology.

Let’s Green Unitour Day 2025 at Thu Dau Mot University concluded with emotional moments, strongly spreading the spirit of action and environmental awareness among students. The experiences from the event will continue to serve as a powerful source of motivation, inspiring young generations to take action for the community and fulfill their responsibility toward the environment. The journey of Let’s Green Unitour Day continues, with each destination becoming a meaningful connection, gradually sowing seeds of sustainable thinking and nurturing the “green ambassadors” of the future.

Let’s Green Unitour is a product of the UEH Green Campus Project and part of the Green Semester - Building a Green Community Campaign initiated by the For Green Future Foundation (Vingroup). Implemented by the Sustainable University Steering Committee, UEH Green Campus Project, and the UEH Youth Union & Student Association, Let’s Green Unitour aims to create experiential spaces for the UEH Green University ecosystem, enhance students’ environmental awareness, spread the UEH Green University Model to the community, and build the Vietnam Green University Network.
