In the context of increasing plastic pollution, the UEH Green Campus project continuously implements green initiatives to raise awareness and change community behavior. The space at Vo Thi Sau campus has been transformed into an artistic environment, continuing the journey of reducing single-use plastics and gradually creating a powerful influence, motivating each individual to join hands in building a more sustainable environment.

From Real-Life Symbols to Design Inspiration

At UEH Campus V, doves and geckos - two animal species naturally associated with the campus - not only reflect a green and harmonious learning environment but also show the close relationship between humans and ecosystems in urban spaces. Their familiar and modest presence contributes to creating a unique identity for this place.

From these real-life images, doves and geckos have become artistic inspiration in communication designs carrying sustainable development messages - where the dove "Dove" represents the spirit of Reduce For More, and the gecko "Kelly" accompanies the Sorting for Change space, promoting action for a future free of single-use plastics.

Art Touches Awareness, Action Creates Change

UEH's Vo Thi Sau campus is gradually becoming a special space - where art is not just decoration, but a tool to evoke awareness and promote green actions. Facing the increasingly serious challenge of plastic pollution, UEH Green Campus is creating a new academic space model: where artistic inspiration and sustainable behavior go hand in hand.

Here, every small corner contains a story. With the "Towards No Single-use Plastic Future" campaign, Dove is a symbol associated with the action of reducing single-use plastic. The design and installation of wooden Dove birds on campus serve as a reminder for the community to eliminate single-use plastics every day as a green lifestyle, a green culture of the campus.

From Artistic Inspiration to 9 Action Steps for Environmental Change

Art creates vibration, but action creates real change. UEH's "Towards No Single-use Plastic Future" campaign introduces 9 simple but meaningful actions that everyone can apply daily:

Action 1: Bring your own reusable shopping bags

Action 2: Reduce plastic bag usage

Action 3: Bring your own food containers and utensils

Action 4: Bring reusable cups and bottles

Action 5: Prepare waste-free lunches

Action 6: Eat on-site, skip takeout and delivery

Action 7: Say no to straws and single-use plastic utensils

Action 8: Avoid food with multiple layers of packaging

Action 9: Share these tips with friends

Each action is a piece of the puzzle, contributing to the formation of a responsible and environmentally friendly academic community.

Green Campus - A Journey Towards a Green UEH

The UEH Green Campus project in general and the "Towards No Single-use Plastic Future" campaign in particular do not just stop at creating green spaces, but also aim to impact the awareness and consumption habits of students, faculty, and the community. Through art and communication, the project is gradually contributing to the SDGs, making green lifestyles a part of university culture.

With the message #ReduceForMore - it is hoped that Campus V will become a special inspirational location for adaptability and change to live more sustainably.
