Waste Tracking and Management at UEH

With the primary goal of applying the 3R model (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), building a waste-free university, creating a green campus, and providing a clean, beautiful, and fresh learning environment for students, faculty, and staff, "UEH Green Campus" is the pioneering project for green and sustainable living at UEH.

"UEH Green Campus" introduces innovative solutions that prioritize the implementation of the 3R model (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle) in waste classification and treatment, as well as the application of technology in education and communication methods. The project places users at the center to better understand its benefits and promote a circular economy. Additionally, it aims to spread awareness, inspire, and change the mindset and behaviors of the younger generation.

With efforts to implement the project in 2023, the project has conducted waste audits at its campuses and achieved the following results:

At UEH, the focus is on an effective waste sorting process at the source to optimize the amount of waste that can be recycled through the following recycling waste circular system:

After implementing such a system in 2023, UEH has recovered a large amount of recyclable waste as follows:
