UEH Welcomes Delegations from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance for a visit and exchange on experiences in developing a Sustainable University model

On the morning of July 30, 2026, continuing its journey of promoting sustainable values, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) successfully organized Green Visit 2026, welcoming delegations from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF) for a campus visit and an exchange of experiences on implementing the Sustainable University Model at UEH.

Representing UEH were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh, Rector of the College of Technology and Design (CTD) and Head of the UEH Wellbeing & Flourishing University Project; Dr. Le Thi Hanh An, Vice Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships, Vice Head of the UEH Co-Lab for Sustainable Innovation and Co-creation, and Manager of the UEH Green Campus Project; together with representatives from the UEH Co-Lab and the UEH Green Campus Project. The visiting delegation included Dr. Ly Thien Trang, Vice President of HUTECH, along with more than 30 leaders, faculty members, and staff from HUTECH and UEF.

Overview of the event

In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh emphasized the special significance of the event for UEH: “Green Visit is not only an academic exchange activity, but also an opportunity for UEH to share its journey of realizing the Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University Strategy, while widely spreading action-oriented models and positive values to the community.” This was also the second time in 2026 that UEH hosted university delegations for visits, discussions, and experience sharing on the Green University Model and sustainable development, reaffirming UEH’s pioneering role, credibility, and growing influence in sustainable higher education in Vietnam.

On this occasion, Dr. Ly Thien Trang shared HUTECH’s strong interest in UEH’s initiatives supporting sustainable development and expressed expectations for continued collaboration, mutual learning, and the promotion of green values across the higher education community.

The program continued with a presentation by Dr. Le Thi Hanh An on UEH’s five-year journey of implementing its Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University Strategy. She affirmed that the role of universities today goes beyond knowledge creation; it is also about nurturing global citizens with sustainable mindsets and actions that generate positive impacts on the community. Through practical achievements, UEH is gradually making sustainability an essential part of its university culture, embedded in Education, Research, Governance, Operations, and Community Engagement as a long-term commitment to the future.

These practical insights into UEH’s sustainability journey led to an open and dynamic discussion session. Participants exchanged diverse perspectives and new ideas on sustainable university models, green transformation, innovation, and the social responsibility of modern higher education institutions. The constructive and inspiring dialogue also opened up practical opportunities for collaboration toward a sustainable education ecosystem and the spread of positive values to society.

The program concluded with a Campus Tour at UEH’s Nguyen Tri Phuong Campus, offering the visiting delegation a comprehensive and firsthand view of how UEH translates its sustainability strategy into practice. From green operational solutions and technology and digital transformation applications to initiatives that promote co-creation, the tour became a highlight of the event, leaving participants with inspiring experiences and opening up future opportunities for cooperation and partnership.
